Sithobela, Eswatini — Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Eswatini (NCM-E) continues to champion healthcare capacity-building in rural communities, with a focused onsite training session conducted yesterday at Sithobela Rural Health Centre.
The training brought together health workers from the facility and surrounding areas, equipping them with practical knowledge and hands-on skills to enhance service delivery and improve patient outcomes.
Training Modules Delivered
The session covered two critical modules designed to strengthen the ability of frontline workers to respond to pressing healthcare needs:
- Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Evolving Capacity
This module emphasized the importance of empowering individuals to make safe, informed, and rights-based decisions about their reproductive health. It also explored how health workers can better support young people and vulnerable groups through evolving stages of capacity and understanding. - Module 8: Contraceptives
Health workers were trained on contraceptive methods, their correct use, and effective counseling approaches. The module aimed at ensuring that clients have access to reliable information and appropriate family planning options, contributing to healthier families and communities.
Building Capacity for Healthier Communities
By investing in the professional growth of health workers, NCM-E is reinforcing its mission to extend compassionate care and bridge healthcare gaps, especially in underserved rural areas. The training ensures that healthcare professionals are better prepared to guide patients with empathy, accuracy, and accountability.
Commitment to Ongoing Support
This initiative is part of NCM-E’s broader program of strengthening Eswatini’s healthcare systems through training, mentorship, and community engagement. Through such interventions, NCM-E continues to empower frontline health workers to play a vital role in building resilient communities and promoting the wellbeing of all.
