NCM-E Donates Essential Supplies to Uplift Vulnerable Families in the Central District

Manzini – Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Eswatini (NCM-E) has once again demonstrated its commitment to walking alongside vulnerable families and communities in Eswatini. Through the ongoing Task Force Project, and in collaboration with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Canada (NCM Canada), a consignment of essential supplies has been donated to the Nazarene Central District to support local congregations and the communities they serve.

The donation includes a range of basic but deeply impactful items, toys, clothing, bathing soap, shoes, duvets, and bed sheets. These supplies will help bring comfort, warmth, and dignity to children, youth, and adults who are facing various socio-economic challenges. For many families, such items are not merely extras; they are essentials that ease daily burdens and restore a sense of hope.

The items were officially handed over to Reverend Dr. Rickson Nkhata, representing the Nazarene Central District. The handover symbolised more than a ceremonial moment – it was a visible expression of partnership, shared faith, and a collective desire to extend Christlike compassion to those in need.

Speaking during the occasion, NCM-E leadership highlighted that this donation is part of a broader effort to ensure that local churches are equipped to be centres of care, support, and transformation in their communities. By channeling resources through local districts and congregations, NCM-E affirms the vital role of the church in identifying needs on the ground and responding in ways that are timely, practical, and rooted in genuine relationships.

The Task Force Project continues to be a key vehicle through which NCM-E mobilises resources, partners, and volunteers for compassionate outreach. Working together with NCM Canada and other global partners, the project aims to strengthen local capacity so that Eswatini’s churches are not only places of worship, but also hubs of hope where physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are acknowledged and addressed.

This latest donation to the Nazarene Central District is a reminder that small acts of kindness, when multiplied, can make a big difference. A warm duvet for a child, a bar of soap for a family, a pair of shoes for someone walking long distances, or a toy that brings a smile – each item carries a message: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.

NCM-E extends heartfelt gratitude to NCM Canada, the Task Force partners, and all those who continue to support these efforts through prayer, giving, and service. Together, we are living out the call to “serve others with love and compassion” and to reflect Christ’s heart in tangible ways.

As NCM-E and its partners look ahead, the goal remains clear: to keep extending compassion, one gift at a time, and to stand alongside communities in Eswatini as they pursue healing, dignity, and hope.
